Being a dog mom has taught me the importance of cherishing every moment with our canine friends. They have an incredible way of teaching us about living in the present, finding joy in the little things, and offering unconditional love without judgment. Through my photographs, I want to convey these life lessons and encourage a deeper appreciation for the simple yet profound joys that dogs bring into our lives.
When I'm not photographing the heartwarming bond between dogs and their hoomans, I find myself engrossed in a world filled with wonder and fascination. My passion for animals, photography, Disney, and adventuring with my two faithful companions, Charlie and Mordu, and my husband, Ian, continues to bring boundless joy and enrich my life with unforgettable experiences. Each moment spent exploring nature's beauty and embracing life's simple pleasures adds a vibrant chapter to my journey, leaving me grateful for the magical tapestry of passions that color my world.
With experience ranging from doggy daycare to Veterinary Medicine, dogs have always been my passion. I've worked with dogs of all temperaments – hyper, calm, scared, shy, happy-go-lucky, and everything in between. Every dog's distinct personality never ceases to amaze me. During my 5-year tenure as a Veterinary Assistant, I was privileged to accompany dogs through every life stage, from their puppy days to their final moments. Patience and boundless affection were essential in both my work at the Veterinary Hospital and in capturing their images.
Charlie, my cherished furry friend, entered my life as a 2-year-old adopted in Washington. He remained by my side through a cross-country move, home buying, shared adventures, and the addition of another dog named Mor'du in April 2021.
Mor’du, our Black and Tan Coonhound, became a part of our family when we welcomed him as a puppy in 2021. While my husband occasionally presents him at UKC bench shows, Mor’du's true nature shines as he transforms into a gentle giant, loving to snuggle in our laps at home or eagerly joining us for hikes and various escapades. His endearing sweetness and sensitivity make him a cherished presence, forever holding the title of our fur baby "baby."
In October 2022, we welcomed Graham, a 13-year-old chocolate lab mix, as a "hospice foster." Originally surrendered to a Texas shelter with a grim fate, Graham now spends his days napping, cuddling, and enjoying his meals. Despite his age and past, he has found a fitting home with us, embracing his golden years in comfort and love.
Riley, our senior feline friend, earned the nickname "old man cat" after an impressive 8-year career as a clinic cat at a Veterinary Hospital where I worked. Upon moving to Michigan from Washington in 2020, I decided to give him a peaceful home life befitting his age. Now, his days are filled with relaxed naps and enjoying his meals at his own pace.
"The lady with the camera had lots of treats and squeaky toys! She helped me and my siblings sit nice and pretty so our mom/dad could capture a beautiful moment for our family (mom had a baby brother pup in her belly!). AND THEN SHE CAME BACK WHEN OUR NEW BABY BROTHER CAME HOME. Talk about lucky— she brought us more treats! 12/10 would recommend "
"Ms Hannah iz fun, hers giggle let us know we was sooooo handsome. Wez reccomend ms Hannah becuz mom and and dad give us LOTS of treats cuz we were the goodest boys the whole time. And our pictures turned out like the most handsome boys in the world. We kept bringing toys out and doesn’t like sitting still but mama wanted us to be sittin still for our pics. Ms Hannah waz patient and kind. "
"My mom dressed me up in a bow tie and took me to this amazing park a short car ride away. When we got out of the car there was a really nice human lady that came up to us and hung around for a little bit. She had treats and squeaky things that make me happy! I got to sit with my mom and dad, and then with my favorite toy, then with just my mom, then all by myself. Everyone gave me so much attention. I loved it! The nice human lady kept telling me what a good boy I was and how foto-jen-ic I was. I don’t know what foto-jen-ic is, but it sounded nice. I want to see the sweet human lady again because when my mom talks about her I think her tails wags. Thank you for making my moms tail wag and for making me foto-jen-ic! "
